This post is to inform you that with the enactment of the Paperwork Burden Reduction Act on December 23, 2024, employers now have the option of posting a website notice informing employees how to request Form 1095-C in lieu of providing the form to all applicable employees. This new law provides a more efficient and cost-effective alternative. Instructions on requesting the form 1095-C have been posted to the Benefits page under “Important Health Coverage Tax Documents.” If you wish to request a copy of the form, please let Heather Lynch know, and she will send you a copy.
Please note that while it is required for the district to file with the IRS each year, you are not required to have Form 1095-C to file your taxes. You would simply file away for your own records. Any further questions on your 1095-C with regard to your taxes should be directed to your tax professional.
